Biosecurity solutions for modern chicken farms
- Published in Poultry raising equipment
The chicken industry is now a collective group production using battery chicken cage systems in Ghana. If the flock is sick, it will cost a lot of manpower, medicine and other expenses. Even if some sick birds are rescued, their production performance will decline. If it is a large number of deaths, the loss will be even greater. Group breeding is most prone to infectious diseases. In addition to specific prevention such as vaccination, safety and epidemic prevention measures, environmental disinfection and other operations are also necessary.
Biosecurity (epidemic prevention) measures in chicken farms:
- According to the occurrence and epidemic characteristics of local chicken diseases, formulate reasonable immunization procedures, plan immunization, control the occurrence of major infectious diseases, and achieve the best preventive effect with the least investment.
- Establish a sound health management system. Disinfection and changing facilities are set up at the entrance of the chicken farm, the connection of the production area, and the entrance of the chicken coop, and personnel entering and leaving are strictly disinfected. The chicken house is disinfected every other day, the surrounding area is disinfected once a week, and the venue is disinfected once a month. Vehicles and items are sterilized, and eggs, incubators, hatchers, etc. must be sterilized regularly as required. Disinfectant water should be kept in the disinfection pool at all times, and personnel are not allowed to visit. When the breeders go home, they should change their coats and shoes, and enter the chicken coop after strict disinfection. On-site employees are prohibited from raising poultry and ornamental birds.
- Establish an all-in and all-out production system. Mixed breeding of large, medium and small chickens of different breeds and batches is strictly prohibited. Chickens in a chicken coop must be in and out at one time, and a batch of chickens must be renewed after the chicken coop is thoroughly disinfected to prevent cross-infection.
- Establish a scientific feeding and management system. Buy excellent healthy chickens from reliable chicken farms, raise safe and reliable feed, feed chickens in time and drink water, do a good job of insulation when raising chickens, ventilate the chicken house, maintain proper relative humidity, and avoid overcrowding, Reducing the impact of coping factors on chickens can greatly enhance the resistance of chickens to the epidemic.
Chicken farm cleaning and disinfection system
The purpose of cleaning and disinfection is to prevent external pathogenic microorganisms from invading the chicken body, eliminate and kill harmful microorganisms accumulated inside and outside the house during the raising of chickens, maintain the cleanliness inside and outside the house, and prevent the spread of infectious diseases between flocks. Before entering chickens, the relevant facilities and equipment inside and outside the chicken house must be cleaned and disinfected. During the production process, it depends on the actual situation of chicken breeding. It can provide high-pressure spray disinfection and high-pressure cleaning systems.
